MINDY
Trainer
My journey into dog training started in 2012 when I adopted my first dog, a fearful husky mix named Maple. Navigating her challenges firsthand gave me a deep understanding of what owners go through and sparked my passion for helping shelter dogs. I began volunteering at shelters to provide training and enrichment and quickly realized the impact proper training can have on a dog’s future.
Since 2017, I’ve worked professionally with hundreds of dogs and their families, specializing in behavior modification for anxious, reactive, and fearful dogs. My goal is to bridge the gap between owners and their dogs, creating lasting partnerships built on trust and understanding.
I am certified in Pet Tech CPR & First Aid, a registered AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals. I also volunteer with Go Team Therapy Dogs and continue to support local shelters and rescues through training workshops and hands-on instruction.
When I’m not working with clients, I spend time with my five dogs and cat, enjoy long walks, and compete in dog sports like obedience, hunt tests, agility, and dock diving.

Hi, I’m Zee! My journey with animals began when I was 11 years old, walking my neighbors’ dogs around the block. I quickly discovered how much I loved working with them, especially when I bonded with a Golden Retriever named Junior. I’ll never forget how excited I was when he picked up marker training—it felt like we were truly communicating. Junior and I became so close that he’s even in my senior photos from high school. Around that time, I also began volunteering at a local rescue, where I saw firsthand how important training is in helping dogs succeed.
I went on to study at Iowa State University, where I earned a B.S. in Animal Science, Pre-Veterinary, focusing on animal behavior, husbandry, and enrichment. During that time, I trained dogs in a laboratory environment—dogs who were later adopted into loving homes. Through every experience, I’ve come to believe that training is more than obedience; it’s enrichment and the foundation of communication between dogs and their owners.
In 2017, I owner-trained my first service dog with professional guidance. He was fully trained by a year and a half and is now enjoying a well-earned partial retirement. That journey taught me that training is never really “finished,” it’s an ongoing process that strengthens the bond between dog and handler every single day. Since then, I’ve continued to professionally work with friends, family, and the public on service dog education, training, and behavior. I love those breakthrough “aha” moments when owners see their dog truly understand them.
I also enjoy competing in AKC events and earning titles, and I plan to explore conformation, Fast CAT, and scent work with my new puppy, Saga. My specialty is practical training for everyday life and showing owners how fun dog sports can be, even if their pup isn’t a purebred! I proudly support the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) and their code of ethics, and I’m currently pursuing registration as an AKC evaluator.
When I’m not training, I love spending time with my husband, who serves in the military, as well as gaming, gardening, and caring for our animals—including showing rabbits.
ROLANDO
Trainer
My career with dogs began in 2016 as a Military Working Dog (MWD) Handler in the Marine Corps. I worked as a Specialized Search Dog (SSD) handler with my partner, K9 "Eddie," stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Throughout my military career as a dog handler, I traveled with Eddie to work and train in Iwakuni, South Korea, Arizona, and California. I began coaching and training new MWD handler-dog teams to the highest standard, and coached over 30 MWD handler/dog teams.
After my time in the military, I've continued my dog training career by working with and coaching families in basic obedience and behavior modification, and I specialize in working with anxiety, fear, and aggression cases.I also currently work in security with a new K9 partner, "Oz II," an explosive detection dog. Oz and I do explosive detection work for major teams, including the Houston Astros, Houston Texans, and Arizona Cardinals. We also screen cargo to keep the public safe, searching for explosives and screening thousands of pieces of freight before getting shipped out of IAH and other airports in the state of Texas.
When not helping families with their dogs or working in explosives detection, I’m always continuing to learn and grow as a trainer. In my free time, I enjoy obedience and hunting retriever training with my labs. I also volunteer with my retired Military Working Dog, Eddie, doing therapy dog work, visiting facilities such as assisted living homes to bring people comfort.
